How to reach EVIA SILENCE

Option 1 — Car Rental (Most Flexible)

Renting a car from Athens Airport is the easiest option.

Travel time: 3 – 3.5 hours

Route: Athens → Chalkida → Aliveri → Porto Buffalo → Evia Silence

You will cross the bridge at Chalkida from mainland Greece onto Evia Island, then continue south along beautiful coastal and countryside roads. This option gives you freedom to explore beaches and villages around the island.

Option 2 — Bus + Taxi (Most Common)

This is the most common public transport route.

Step 1 — Bus

Take a KTEL Evia bus from:

Athens KTEL Liosion Bus Station

Route:

Athens → Aliveri (terminal station), Evia

Travel time: 2.5 – 3 hours

Please print your ticket and bring it with you as you will need to exchanged it at the bus station for a bus ticket.

From the airport: Line Bus X3 to Liosion Intercity Bus Station

Step 2 — Taxi

From Aliveri, take a taxi to Evia Silence, Porto Buffalo

Travel time: 30-40 minutes

Estimated cost: €40 – €60

Option 3 — Private Transfer (Most Comfortable)

Tips

  • The nearest airport is Athens International El. Venizelos (168km -2h 45mins)​

  • ​The nearest village from Evia Silence is Argiro. Distance 4Km - 7min by car (basic grocery, bred)

  • A bigger village is Zarakes. Distance 21Km - 25mins by car (mini market with almost everything!, some traditional Greek taverns, meat store, bakery, drug store, basic health care)

  • The nearest big town is Aliveri. Distance 25Km - 35mins by car (hospital, supermarkets, every kind of store you want.)

  • A nice nearby bay is "Almyropotamos". 20km - 20 min by car (minimarkets, traditional Greek taverns etc)
