Yoga teaches us to live in the present moment with mindfulness and awareness, allowing us to see the interconnectedness of all things.

By practicing yoga, we can begin to see the world working for us instead of against us and approach each day with a renewed sense of purpose and positivity.

I can still vividly recall the feeling of stepping into my first yoga class. It was during my university years, and I was eager to try something new. As soon as I entered the studio, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace, calm, and balance. The instructor guided us through each pose with such grace and ease, and I found myself completely lost in the practice.

After graduating from the London College of Printing, I delved into the world of freelance photography. I worked with high-profile clients such as Columbia Records, MCA Records, Kangol, Pepe Jeans, United Nations, and UNICEF, and my editorial work appeared in top publications like Dazed and Confused, Face, i-D, and Straight No Chaser.

Despite the excitement of working in the fashion and music industry, I soon found myself disenchanted with its excesses. I craved something deeper, more meaningful, and that's when I turned to my yoga practice.

Following the yogic tradition, I sought out a teacher whose spiritual principles aligned with my own. I embarked on a journey of self-inquiry, delving deeper into the practice and the principles behind it. And as I continued to explore, I found my true calling: to dedicate my life to the practice and teaching of yoga.

Looking back, I can see how everything led me to this moment. From that first yoga class to the glitz and glamour of the fashion world, it was all part of the journey that brought me to where I am today. And for that, I am forever grateful.

In 2004, I embarked on a life-changing journey when I attained my yoga teaching certification through The Yoga Arts teacher training school in Australia. It was a proud moment for me, as it was the first yoga teacher training in the country to be government accredited. This was the beginning of my lifelong passion for yoga.

Over the years, I continued to deepen my knowledge and skills by training in several different schools of yoga, including Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Viniyoga. I also spent many years immersed in the teachings of Himalayan Meditation traditions and Vipassana meditation, as taught by S.N. Goenka. In 2011, I completed my 500hr teacher training with INSPYA yoga in Shanghai, further expanding my expertise in the field.

My passion for teaching yoga has taken me around the world. For more than 20 years, I have been sharing my knowledge and expertise with students in Europe and Asia. In 2013, I teamed up with a colleague in Shanghai to create a unique system of yoga called TAV (Therapeutic Alignment Vinyasa), which combines precise alignment with dynamic vinyasa and other healing practices.

My students have described me as an inspirational teacher who incorporates both the physical and mystical aspects of yoga into my classes. I believe in integrating dynamic vinyasa, asanas, restorative yoga, meditation, pranayama, and visualization to create an inner journey towards healing and empowerment. My classes emphasize enjoyment while maintaining a meditative mind, regardless of the level or pace of practice.

My dedication to yoga has led me to contribute to Yoga Journal China as a photographer and to appear on various TV channels and events, including International Channel Shanghai, CCTV China, and Shanghai TEDx. After developing a rich following of students in London, I relocated to Shanghai in 2008, where I continue to teach yoga classes, workshops, and teacher training. For me, yoga is not just a practice, but a way of life, and I am honoured to share it with others.
